work. Most shops only know the basics of tire balance that is put the tire on the machine and pop the weights on where they indicate on inner and outer rim bead and check for no more weights needed. Most know nothing about rim-tire matching for 1st dynamic harmonic, they usually do not check the rim for lateral and radial runout, etc. Most tires will balance out ok but there are the 10% that do not and those take special attention.
Also they need to torque the rims to the correct vatue and in a star pattern to prevent warpage.
